Merista was developed during my final exam period and is still in process. I wanted to create an easy readable linear-antiqua font, whose emphasis is on serifs.
The wedge-shaped serifs are a distinctive feature as they offer a dynamic character, which gives the font an overall light appearance.
I would like to thank Henning Skibbe for his support, and also for introducing me into the world of typography.
The character set includes over 320 glyphs. The font encompasses the European character set, numeric, ligature, diacritical signs, punctuation, mathematical sings, and the most common currency signs.
There is also an alternative to the “open” g-variant.
Until now there are six weights which are on different stages in their development process.
